About Kathleen Contreras
Kathleen Contreras lives in Ventura, California, a beautiful beach town. I’m a bilingual professor at California State University, Channel Islands, where I work with future teachers. I also taught grades 4, 5, &6 in bilingual classrooms.
I love my family, amigos, the Virgen de Guadalupe, yoga, and swimming. I love traveling to new places, meeting new faces, and enjoying new experiences. Chicken tacos, frijoles, fresh salads, and homemade cookies are my favorite foods.
I write stories that are both fiction and non-fiction; like my books. Part of the story is based on my life, and some parts I used my imagination!
