Dr. Kathleen Contreras is the author of five bilingual childrens' books.  She taught at California State University Channel Islands, UCLA, Cal Lutheran University, and in multiple bilingual elementary classrooms. She earned her B.A. and bilingual teaching credential (UCLA), a Master’s degree in Bilingual Education (UCSB), and a Ph.D. in Urban School & Teacher Education (UCLA). She dedicates her career to her “semillas” (seeds), bilingual teachers growing, blooming, flourishing, and teaching in public schools.
